ADVERTISING REGULATION HITS ON-LINE MARKETING: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE EXTENSION OF THE CAP CODE


Any business with a web presence needs to be aware of the CAP Code and its implications. From 1 March 2011 the CAP Code, which regulates non-broadcast advertising in the UK, will be extended to cover on-line statements and content controlled by UK businesses, reflecting the growing use by businesses of their websites and social networking sites to market and promote their products and services.
