The Firm

Hill Hofstetter is the former Birmingham office of US law firm Reed Smith.

The office’s foundations go back to 1989 when long-standing client Courtaulds plc outsourced part of its legal department to boutique London commercial firm Warner Cranston.

From this nucleus a thriving full-service commercial legal practice was built and in 2001 Warner Cranston merged with Reed Smith. 

With this background Hill Hofstetter has established a strong practice, with an emphasis on carrying out complex legal work for businesses with interests in the UK and overseas, in particular in France, Germany and the USA.  With our roots in house and our international experience we are uniquely placed to deliver sophisticated, but pragmatic, legal advice to our clients.  We believe our model results in great work that delivers value for money for our clients.
